Muslim Rage and Yom Kippur in Jerusalem

Tens of thousands of Muslims have been killed in Syria,

and thousands more rioted around the world “about a movie.”

I wasted 13 minutes of my life watching this awful thing,

please save your time, I am being very generous to call it a movie.

A judge in Jerusalem, Israel ruled that Google does not have to take it down.

Too bad that over 11,000,000 people have viewed this poorly acted,

badly dubbed, lowest-budget piece of vulgar junk.

It is sad to think about how many better ways to use all that time.

If so many people did not die and so much damage wasn’t caused,

it might be considered funny.

In Jerusalem, Israel it is a time of feasting, fasting and food shopping,

so what about Muslim rage?

Supermarkets are usually crowded, crazy places at this time of year.

I hate going shopping, but big meals have to be prepared for the holidays.

While I was trying to decide on what kind of canned olives to buy,

niqab

two Muslim women dressed in hijab and one with niqab

covering her face were in the same aisle.

Arab women regularly shop in stores in many areas of the city,

 no surprise about that.

niqab

However, the young woman in niqab was also wearing long black gloves.

Often Muslim women cover their arms and wrists, but fingers too?

This was the first time I had seen such a thing, not only did it get

my attention, but also that of an Arab man working in the store.

Stores have lots of security checks for bags and people,

but what was happening on the streets?

Arab women

In Mamilla Mall, Muslim couples were strolling about as usual.

Arab girls

These Arab girls had a big crisis: deciding where to eat lunch,

arab girls

but these Muslim women picked a different restaurant.

Going to the Old City, near the entrance for The Kotel, the Western Wall,

Arab women

this was the scene, an Arab woman and boys walking freely.

Meanwhile, in Syria near Damascus, 400 Palestinians

have been murdered in the Yarmouk refugee camp by Syrians,

with another 18 killed yesterday, including 4 women & 3 children.

Arab women

And in Mamilla Mall, more Arab visitors arrived and went on their way.

The most shocking thing that I saw was in the Jewish Quarter,

old city jerusalem

it seems barbed wire is being put up in some Jewish areas of The Old City.

On the way home I passed by Gan Ha’atzmaut, Independence Park,

Muslim prayer

where two Muslim men were bowing on their prayer rug.

I did spot an Israeli soldier standing with an Arab man at a traffic light.

Israel soldier and Palestinian

Holding his lunch, not a rock or Molotov cocktail,

my taking a photo seemed to be the only thing annoying him.

Yom Kippur, the Jewish holy fast day will be in a few days.

39 years ago on Yom Kippur most Israelis were fasting and praying,

when the surrounding Arab countries attacked.

This year there is a new threat of a nuclear Iran

and growing Islamic extremism.

Muslim calls have been to prayer and not rage in Jerusalem until now.

We hope and pray that rational minds will prevail, in 5773 and in the future.

bus sign Yom Kippur

Bus signs have changed from a happy new year greeting to Yom Kippur one.

May we all be sealed for a good year.

G’mar Hatimah Tovah to all our Jewish brethren.

You are right the “movie” is a disgusting piece, but (always “a but”), if the Muslims had not made such a fuss about it, it would have disintegrated while gathering dust on some shelf out of sight.
We understand that Muslims bear deep rooted grudges against the West for their own unfortunate plight over the years, but if a finger of blame is to be pointed at someone, should it not be pointed at Muslims themselves who, as they yearn for democracy and the riches of the West, their leaders and religious Imams in a state of hysterical desperation drag their flock back into dark-age mentality. Apparently only a small minority of Muslims are rioting against the film and the West, and the tide actually seems to be turning, as one by one reasoning Muslim leaders and governments are banning protests in most Muslim countries. A good sign is that ordinary Libyans are targeting militants and denouncing the killing of Chris Stevens ז”ל U.S. Ambassador. Except ofcourse for our best scurvy “friend” and neighbor – Hassan Nasrallah of Hezbullah who is really taking advantage of every minuscule tit-bit that falls into his lap – but our revenge: Facebook bans Nasrallah’s birthday. Shame!!!!!! No cake or candles????
This is ofcourse not my original thought, but the rioting, mayham and death instigated by a movie, cartoons and grudges caused Arabs to come out into the streets in their thousands – but we did not notice the thousands coming out into the streets to denounce the now over 20,000 Syrians slaughtered in the past year and a half. This fact is hard to fathom from where I sit…….

I agree with you as usual, where is the protest about the continuing slaughter of so many people, including women and children in Syria?

The main stream media only shows negative photos of Jerusalem, Israel that is why I started posting photos of what is really happening here.

That movie may be vulgar junk but the Islam reaction to it was a lot worse. It is incredible that people can behave like that. The movie was created by Egyptian Copts that were persecuted and hounded by radical islam and it was specifically made to get even with them. It seems that the movie makers knew what they would trigger.

So true, the “movie” did trigger quite a reaction, but I wonder if the makers had any idea of how great a reaction?

Once again, you say it well. Although I don’t think the Muslim actions in the world were because of the movie – that was just an excuse to riot and kill Americans on 9/11.

Thanks Leora. The lousy film clip was certainly only an excuse.
Media does not seem to care that “gunmen” killed a young Israeli soldier at the border on Friday, there were no riots, just many more tears.

Sorry Rachel I am posting your comment, but do NOT agree with you.
Illegal entry to any country is a serous problem that has to be dealt with.
If Israel is such a terrible, racist state, what do the many Muslim Africans who come here by way of Egypt know, that you do not?
Legal entry of refugees does take place and it does take time, but we cannot let Israel be overrun, any more than the US from bordering Mexico or Australia by aliens from the sea.
Just last week a young Israeli soldier was murdered by terrorists while trying to give water to some of those trying to enter illegally at the Sinai border, and that really does bother me a lot.
