The 65th birthday of the Israeli Knesset was yesterday.

Happy birthday Knesset,

here’s hoping for a really good year and many, many more!

This week’s theme was the

Changing Landscapes in Jerusalem, Israel.

and a snow storm in December,

a very different landscape is now seen below

The Israel Museum.

Today is Rosh Chodesh Shevat,

and stores will be stocked with dried fruit

with sales galore all over Jerusalem and Israel.

While most of the world is celebrating a new year,

on the Hebrew calendar the New Year of Trees is in two weeks.
