Sitting outside walls of Old City yesterday,
enjoying the warm weather in Jerusalem, Israel,
while watching people strolling by,
too many scenes to share, for now just this one for

Jerusalem, Israel – what is really happening
Israelis were to change the time on their clocks last night
and we lost an hour of sleep springing forward.
I hate the week after any clock change,
but at least today did feel like spring,
even if I dragged around feeling tired most of the time.
“The spring has come” announces this nursery school display.
Children are learning Passover songs and dances,
preparations for the Holiday of Spring are underway.
On the way home we stopped for a second,
to snap one photo of some spring flowers.

Shabbat shalom!
If aliens dropped into Jerusalem, Israel, today,
what would they think?
School children went dressed in Purim costumes,
so many princesses, transformers, little people in uniforms,
and cute two-footed, little furry animals.
In all the pre-Purim noise and partying,
however, there was at least one quiet spot.
Thousands of people drive south to see flowers,
but I prefer to just walk the path,
winding up to the Israel Museum
slowly to enjoy these scenes.
