Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem

On the Jerusalem streets, there are sounds of normal, with cars on the road.

Children in school and music from loudspeakers can be heard.

At least, for now, most schools have reopened after COVID-19 restriction closures.

However, from across the ocean, the scene is not the same.

Receiving this video from a friend in New Jersey,

I thought to wish all a Shabbat Shalom with its sweet sounds,

a perfect time to be connecting through song.

Well, THAT gave me tears. Thank you, dear friend. I already love the song… and this production with all of its inspiring positivity make it even sweeter.

Good tears I hope from those young voices blending and mending the world for a bit of light before Shabat.

Wonderful. The resilience and, I think, bitachon, shown by those kids is a jmussar for us all. Shabbat Shalom!

The video is inspiring. On the one hand, I feel it’s sad that all these young people, and thousands more of all ages, have to experience this difficult time. Yet, their message of courage and resilience is truly uplifting, and even as we all pray for the return of “normal” lives, there are lessons of unity to be learned and this beautiful video certainly speaks to that. Thank you for posting!
